
MEET THE BAKER
Owner Ana Rodriguez is a self-taught baker, taking a cake decorating course in 2009 and working at a bakery when she discovered her passion for cake decorating. Although never having professional training, she would get her inspiration through dozens of recipe books and, of course practice, practice. With the help of her husband, they began creating fondant custom cakes for family and friends, and sooner than later, word spread around; next thing, they had a sizable customer base. Sophie’s Cakes & Pastries began in 2009. We are offering a homestyle bakery experience in Chicago’s West Lawn area.
